Eco-Friendly Gyms
This is a small concept i have in mind!
it is basicly to convert human running energy to electrical energy.....
Gyms are places were we find people running on thread mills,excercising cycles etc...
if we could place a dynamo for each of the excercising machines we could produce a huge amount of electricity since it is attained from a number of machhines!!!
Therefor we could transform normal gyms to electric Power houses!!!

Great concept- this has already been developed using the fly wheel technology on spin bikes and is already being adapted to any price of cardio-vascular equipment that has a motor or more importantly a wheel.
Look up Green Revolution- I believe it is www.greenervolution.com- I'm sure they could use your help and get it over here.
I was part of the beta testing or this technology a year and a half ago at the first commercial fitness chain in New York and the world.

As gyms would be generating energy and selling it back to the grid, it could reward individuals either financially or otherwise.
Providing a huge incentive for the people around the world to become healthy. This would not only reduce stress levels in professionals but also reduce the number of deaths as a result of obesity.
Imagine providing homeless people with a shelter & food in exchange for a daily workout. The workout would boost their health and state of mind having a positive impact on their life and current situation.
I can envision the following benefits:
Produce green energy
Increase global health
Reduced global stress levels
Reduce burden on state run medical services
Tackle obesity epidemic head on
In a nutshell, you're paid or rewarded to become fit & healthy, flipping the current system on its head.
PS: This could also be extended to Prisons, remove play stations from cells and bringing back hard time that results in energy generation. The criminal is forced to work for the people who where once his victims.

A primary school in Hong Kong has set up a small gym and saved the kenetic energy from students who ride on the bike~and it helps saving the eletricity by 5% every month
