ECOrporate - Recycle Office Junk
Did you know that recycling just ONE ton of paper will save:
4,000 Kwh of electricity
2.5 barrels (1,755 litres) of oil required to convert wood into paper
3 cubic meters of landfill
31,780 liters of water
Save the felling of 17 full grown trees

According to some basic research done at a particular Asian organisation's head office that works on general shift (9-5), with approximately 60 employees, all in support functions such as finance/HR/Communication/Admin, it was found that it consumes approximately 2 tons of paper a year. So that's all that you read above, twice over.
Many recycling companies are mushrooming in Sri Lanka and perhaps around the globe too, whereby they collect and shred all your office's waste paper for free, and then sell/export it for recycling. Sometimes, they convert this raw material made from your office trash into packaging/boxes/paper that you can use. The shredding protects confidentiality of your documents.
The Idea? Find such companies in your area, put in big dustbins around office for collecting paper trash only, and hire their services. Then encourage your colleagues to throw their waste paper in there. Think about how many trees, how much water, oil and energy you can save by calling in one of these organisations to Take your Trash.

Indeed, Arbor Day is upon us, and we are all encouraged to do something for the arborous plants that cohabitate our space with us. Arbor Day, the holiday for trees, is the day we are all encouraged to plant a tree. It has endorsements from the environmentalists, botanists the globe over, and celebrities ranging from John Denver to Ted Nugent. (Uncle Ted is quite the conservationist, actually.) It's worth getting cash advance loans to plant one, as trees not only are good for the environment, but are splendid aesthetically and add property value to your home. Think of it as giving installment loans to the earth, if you plant a tree on Arbor Day.

If recycled paper were made available freely from any taxpayer-subsidized plant, or at very low cost directly from any private recycling plant, the act of recycling would be directly contributing to the kind of abundance needed to slow manufacturing and save the resources you list. The horse needs to go before the cart.

People you are going to waste no matter what you do - get used to it! I'm not saying to be intentionally wasteful, but doing what this guy suggests will do nothing accept cause more waste.... your time.
