Hold Transportation Authority Officials Accountable
Ever wonder if the Big Guns who work for your local transportation authority actually use the infrastructure they advocate, i.e. public transit, carpools, bike lanes, etc.?
Gary Richards, a columnist for The San Jose Mercury News, asked the same question and found that out of 42 Bay Area transportation officials, 33 actually practiced what they preach.
What about officials in other municipalities? Do they use the infrastructures they help create?
I think what I found more surprising than the results in Richard's article is that there isn't already a protocol already in place that keeps tabs on authority officials. Perhaps its time to survey ALL transportation authority officials.
What do you think? Should the public know about how their government officials get to and from work? If so, what would be the best way?

No.
I do wonder if people like you and everyone else on this site, are held accountable for all the negative effects you produce on the environment.
Unless you can honestly tell me that you have no negative effect on the environment, then your part of the problem too, but who holds you responsible?
Why don't you have some pretentious, condescending person who thinks they're better than you because they ride their bike?
Wow...Public Officials
