Comment RSSPlan to Go Green? Saving Electricity is definately first and easy step towards it. I have contributed in Saving Electricity and here are the ways to do it.
- Use CFL lights instead of Incandecent bulbs. CFLs use 1/3rd power compared to Incandecent bulbs.
- Set Solar Heater. I have set up solar water heater to heat up the water. It has incurred a one time cost but it reduces tax on my pocket on a monthly basis
- Put your computer and Laptop in sleep mode instead putting them on Screen Saver mode. Turn off the monitor when not in use.
- Switch off lights, fans, Chargers and Air Conditioner when not in use.
- Reduce the amount of lightning used in Hotels and Restaurants to generate a good ambience.

Actually I hear that CFLs are
Mon, 05/09/2011 - 01:27 — AnonymousActually I hear that CFLs are even more pollutive to manufacture and creates harmful electrosmog when on. EMF/ELF is harmful to living things.
IT IS POSSIBLE to use a system of mirrors, lens, candle based system at par with those used in illusionists shows, to amplify light from a single (organic) source rather than have lots of lights as well so that the contracter can make more sales and more people wuill have to be hired to screw in those lightbulbs.
The title should read 'Use of CFLs' rather than the ' I have helped myself' thing, which is so vague.
