       If pv panels were added to the tops of every power line poles and were mountd on high voltage  towers with pv panels around the outside of towers to create a skin, and battery banks in place.For any reason power from main locations were down this could help sustain electric to homes.The panels would also help use less power from nuclear,coal,natual gas, plants that dump carbon in the atmosphere.

Assuming that Zipcar & City CarShare will benefit from the 3 EV Plug-In stations being installed in front of San Francisco City Hall, I think members should offer non-members a lift.
