Use Cellphone that provides better battery life

I used to own a cell phone that would require me to charge it every day and at times twice a day. I recently swtiched to a cell phone which provides me a better battery life and i chanrge it once in 2 or 3 days. Is'nt that one of the ways to save electricity?

I live in Japan and i have the same phone since 3 years ago.
I just have to charge it every 2 weeks!!! It's a Qualcomm 3G CDMA a brand you can find here in the AU phone company.

Anyways, i think than better to have a new super cool phone that saves more energy, you need to use your phone the more time you can!, and not change every year!, any time you see a new super cool shiny phone.

Cellphone Battery Life Can Be Misleading.

It's all in the mAh and the power efficiency of the device. I like the Idea of charging a phone using renewable energy, but the battery life is a subjective thing. if a phone has a battery with a higher mAh (milliamp hours) then it will give more life, but will take more energy to charge. so really to compare apple to apples (no pun intended), you would need to compare a phone with the same battery which would be pretty tough to do. So nice Idea, but technically not correct ;)
