For a 5 minute shower using a low-flow we use 7-8 gallons of water.  For a 15min shower, we waste 24gal.  If we dont' have any hair we won't have to waste time washing hair in the shower.

Just Say NO to Bottled Water in the Developed World & Donate the money you save

Bottled water is wrong for too many reasons!  If we just stopped drinking it we could help save planet earth. 

1) Plastic from bottled water clogs landfills and is not biodegradable.  a lot of energy is required to make the plastic bottes and to run the bottling plants.

2) Trucks have to drive around, pick up the bottled water at a bottling plant and deliver them to your local grocery and convenience store.

I've saved 580 liters of water

hi all, i'm new member here n wud like to share this.

i had to take a xerox of a 64 page book. instead of taking each page i took 4 pages on 1 side of paper by shrinking it (to a visible/readable size) so instead of 64 pages i got the entire book in 8 papers. which saved 58 papers. Now wondering how this saved 580 liters of water???

well,,, it takes 10 liters of water to make 1 A4 sheet. so by saving 58 sheets its saving 580 liters :) 

This is my first step towards Saving our Planet Earth :)

Just think if we stop carrying books, and use digitialized study materials, this would save tonnes of trees.

This should be implemented at every level of the education tree, and hence will reduce the amount of old un-used books... This will also reduce the cost spent on education....

Use Cellphone that provides better battery life

I used to own a cell phone that would require me to charge it every day and at times twice a day. I recently swtiched to a cell phone which provides me a better battery life and i chanrge it once in 2 or 3 days. Is'nt that one of the ways to save electricity?

@GreenGlobeIdeas: Can i also post the name the phone that i use?
